Hello, I’m Kim! Welcome to my page and journey!

It makes me so happy that you are here. Making changes on your own after years of habitual living can sometimes be challenging. Reaching out and connecting is a definite and important step. But first, let me share a little about myself and my own wellness journey.

I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN); a Certified International Health Coach through the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC); and a Certified Consultant of Natural Medicine  through the American Council of Holistic Medicine (ACHM). I am also a member of the American Holistic Health Association (AHHA).

My purpose is to help you make a difference in your life, as helping adults transform their health and find balance in their lifestyle is my passion. During our journey, I will help you understand your relationship with food and empower you to reconnect with your body’s nutritional needs. Our focus will be on achieving a long-term transformation by striking the balance that best suits your unique self and lifestyle.

 

I am a mom, a flower enthusiast, and a beach lover who enjoys meeting new people. As a mom, I strive to keep my kids happy and healthy by seeking the best habits, products, nutrients, and ingredients for them. As a nature lover, I constantly seek the connection between our surroundings and our overall well-being.  These two passions, together with the many challenging health experiences I went through in the past, have brought me here today.

Seeing other people transform their health and lives is the most rewarding job I have ever had!

HOW I TOOK CONTROL OF MY OWN HEALTH

For many years, I suffered from digestive issues without understanding why. Despite multiple doctors’ visits, scans, and medications, I still did not have a clear answer as to why my digestive system was not working properly. Life went on between attempts to heal the symptoms, without a full understanding of the cause.

An intense search for the root cause of all these issues led me to the holistic field. It all came down to an intolerance to gluten! This generated and increased inflammation and discomfort over time. Once I had an answer, I was able to pinpoint the negative effects other foods were having on my body.

I FOUND BALANCE

During my wellness journey, I once heard someone say that worry is a waste of energy. If you are consumed by worry, you can either let it go or do something about it. For me, the key was to do both: I had to let my fear of change go and take control over my health to regain my balance. Through dietary changes, lifestyle shifts and a lot of soul searching, I eased my inflammation completely and reversed my adrenal fatigue. All my digestive symptoms were managed in a natural way, and I slowly started to feel like myself again.

You would be surprised to know that, aside from gluten, one of the biggest triggers for my digestive problems was stress. Aside from changing my diet, I adopted day-to-day strategies to remain calmed and better manage the challenges thrown at me. Instead of just a diet, I embarked in a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, and you can, too!

The natural evolvement of my health path was becoming a Certified Health Coach. Now I guide individuals who desire to detoxify their surroundings and live a healthy, full and energetic life, but do not know where to start. As your health coach, I will provide you with the tools to start your own healing journey.

I TRAINED AND GAINED EXPERIENCE

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where I studied over 100 dietary theories with leading experts in the field of nutrition. I also became a Certified International Health Coach through the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC), and a Certified Consultant of Natural Medicine  through the American Council of Holistic Medicine (ACHM).

However, the significant shifts on my physical health and mindset occurred after I received additional training from the INN on the areas of Coaching Intensive Practicum (advanced coaching skills); Gut Health (to reduce inflammation, boost your immunity and optimize your digestion); Whole-Person Health (covering functional, physical, mental and emotional nutrition); and Detox Your Life (redefining the meaning of clean living by reducing exposure to every day toxins). Through my practice, I offer different programs that focus on these important areas to help you live your best life.

Taking control of my own health was a major undertaking, but it doesn’t have to be that way for you. My mission is to empower you to own your health and happiness, and to live to your absolute fullest.

I believe our health is a combination of our nutrition and lifestyle. Everyone I work with is unique and different. We all bring a lifetime of beliefs, perspectives, and habits to the table. Health coaching is about more than physical health, it’s about looking at your whole life and taking the steps you need to take to be the person you want to be. Drawing on my personal experiences and training, I help you make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of the choices that work best for you to improve your energy, balance, health, and happiness.
